It does both, and that is the whole reason we brought it in. The stainless steel blades were made for dry work and wet work. Dry pepper, crayfish, dry ginger and dry spices grind fine. Then you rinse the jar and blend your fresh tomato and pepper in the same machine.

Yes. There is a rechargeable battery inside it. You charge it when light is available, then it runs on its own stored power. The screen in front shows you how much power is remaining, so you always know before you start.
Is the jar big enough for a full pot of stew?
